Missed-call text-back for GTA electricians

When you can’t pick up, CallCatch texts the caller your shop name and booking link, so a no-power or panel call doesn’t quietly turn into another contractor’s job.

Why electricians miss calls

In a 1–10 tech electrical shop, the person who answers the phone is often the one working in a live panel, pulling wire through a ceiling or driving between service calls across the GTA. Gloves are on, the phone is in the truck, and the line rings out. Nobody is ignoring customers — there just isn’t a free hand when the call comes in.

No-power callers dial the next shop

A homeowner whose breaker keeps tripping, whose panel is making noise, or who has lost power to part of the house wants someone now. If nobody answers, the natural next step is to call the next electrician in the search results. A quick text back gives them a way to reach you before they do.

Many GTA homeowners look specifically for an ESA-licensed electrical contractor. CallCatch doesn’t verify or display licensing — it just makes sure the caller hears back from your shop.

How it works

  1. A call to your business number goes unanswered.
  2. The caller gets a short text, usually within about 30 seconds, with your shop name, your existing Cal.com or Calendly booking link, and “Reply STOP to opt out.”
  3. They book a time on the calendar you already use — or call you back.

No new booking system, no app for your techs. Just a missed call followed by a plain text.

CASL basics

  • Texts only go to people who just called your business number — a reply to their own call, not a marketing blast.
  • Every message identifies your shop.
  • STOP replies are honoured.

FAQ

How fast does the text go out after a missed call?
Usually within about 30 seconds of the missed call, so the caller sees it before they dial the next electrician.
What does the text say?
A short message with your shop name, your existing Cal.com or Calendly booking link, and a reply-STOP opt-out.
Is this CASL compliant?
The text only goes to people who just called your business number, it identifies your shop, and STOP replies are honoured. You remain responsible for your own messaging; this is general information, not legal advice.
Does CallCatch check or display ESA licensing?
No. CallCatch only sends a text with your shop name and booking link. Licensing and permits stay entirely with your business.
Do I need a new phone number?
Usually no. It works with the number customers already call. Setup is walked through when early access opens.
How much does it cost?
$99 CAD per month with a 14-day trial. Cancel anytime.
Is it available now?
Not yet. CallCatch is in early access, starting with GTA shops. Join the waitlist on the homepage and Marc Stevens will reach out.
